Part one of the two-part noble grape episode focuses on the three red noble grapes (varietals), Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Pinot Noir, while also touching briefly on a “bonus” noble grape Syrah. Different sources claim different numbers of noble grapes, citing there can be as little as six or as many as twenty, but for the sake of ease, the Boozy Biddies have focused on the original three for the majority of this episode. This is an easy introduction to three of the most popular red noble grapes in the winemaking world.
